Therefore, sustainable agriculture is relevant for the environment, for the economy and for the society.<\/p><p>UNIMER has always fostered <strong>sustainable agriculture<\/strong>, by pursuing the following objectives:<\/p><ul><li>soil fertility and environmental resources preservation in the long run;<\/li><li>farmer\u2019s profitability;<\/li><li>health and well-being protection of <strong>stakeholders<\/strong>, employees, sector operators and final consumers;<\/li><\/ul><p>consistent with those of the <strong>EU Common Agricultural Policy<\/strong> and <strong>Green Deal<\/strong> that is declined in agriculture as <strong>Farm to Fork<\/strong> strategy:<\/p><ul><li>build a sustainable food system;<\/li><li>implement a new biodiversity strategy;<\/li><li>contribute to the climate action plan;<\/li><li>implement an action plan to reduce pollution, protecting natural resources such as water, air and soil;<\/li><\/ul><p>shared by the production and consumption model of <strong>Circular Economy<\/strong>, which is based on the principle of a virtuous and responsible recycling of residues, agricultural by-products and food waste. These are negatively affected by the intensification and specialization of modern agriculture, as well as climate change and biodiversity loss.<\/p><p>The achievement of the EU\u2019s sustainable development goals, reflecting the SDG of the United Nations, heavily depends on the availability of healthy soils and on their sustainable exploitation. This is the result of UNIMER fertilizers greater efficiency, which allows an increase of the assimilable share of nutrients by the crops, thus limiting the losses caused by the phenomena of leaching, precipitation, insolubility and evaporation. Indeed, the company contributed to the recovery of local economy by maintaining its workers employed, thus providing stability for their families. The company has also implemented an <strong>eco-friendly building model<\/strong>: on the one hand, it disposed of the rubble of its plant and of the surrounding constructions, thus proving its committment to the needs of the local institutions; on the other hand, UNIMER chose the <strong>latest industrial equipment <\/strong>and technologies in compliance with <strong>health, safety and anti-seismic legislation<\/strong>.<\/p><p>UNIMER\u2019s <strong>Corporate Social Responsibility<\/strong> also extends to the well-being of farmers and to crop safety. UNIMER <strong>fertilizers<\/strong> are guaranteed pathogen-free, <strong>safe and reliable<\/strong> through a sanitizing heat treatment of one hour at 70\u00b0C, as required by the law.<\/p><p>The
